Television and movies reach people of all ages and in every walk of life. If we want to introduce today’s world to Jesus Christ, we have to use 21st-century technology. In order to compete in the vast entertainment arena, Christian film and television must be world class. Our members have made a decision to stop complaining about the poor quality of programming often produced by good-intentioned, but inexperienced Christians and take a more positive approach. We have decided to seek out those successfully working in these industries who deserve recognition for excellence for both their effort and their product and to help them in any way that we can. Whether or not these industry professionals profess to be Christian, we are committed to support the inclusion of Christian messages in their work.
ISECFT actively seeks to promote Christianity by supporting producers who support the Christian worldview. We believe that film and television is a mission field that has to be generously supported in order to survive. We are committing our time and resources to that end. Full Membership A Full member is eligible to serve on the nominating committee and to be elected to the board of judges for all awards. Full members enjoy all membership benefits of an Associate member. Full members receive a member’s newsletter by email or fax and an invitation to all events held by the ISECFT. Full members also enjoy voting privileges in society business and general elections.
Associate Membership An Associate member may submit new productions to the nominating committee for upcoming awards in all categories and may be elected to the serve on the nominating committee. Associate members receive a member’s newsletter by email or fax and an invitation to events held by the ISECFT.
Student Membership Student members are encouraged to discover film and television projects that ISECFT should consider for commendation. Student members receive newsletters via email and are encouraged to participate in the Coming of Age categories of the CFT Excellence Awards. Student members must be under 21 years of age or be enrolled in a college, university, or Bible school to participate at this level.
All members are asked to provide prayer cover for those in the mission field of film and television. We are an all-volunteer organization that welcomes active participation as well as feedback from our members.
